RS232 Adapter Kit For Reefer Containers (Daikin, Starcool, Thermoking) The USB RS232 Adapter also called URA, is a handheld computer, that communicates with the controller of a reefer container. The URA can make trip data downloads, firmware (software) uploads, change container ID, set time & date, control outputs, perform display tests and more. The memory of the URA is an USB memory stick as you know them in daily life. Any type can be used. On this USB memory stick, you place the reefer manufacturer’s firmware. Also, the downloaded trip data is stored on the same USB memory stick. The downloads are stored in original manufacturer’s format and named by container number and the date of the download. All other possibilities and options are performed from the memory of the URA itself. New features or manufacturer changes can easily be added to the URA by updating it with AM-Solution firmware. The URA operates on 2x AA batteries. On the back of the handheld we integrated 4 strong magnets for easy mounting on the container’s corner post. By pressing the up & down buttons at the same time, the screen flips 180°. The URA can now be used upside down, which makes it water resistance.
